  • Founder & Certified Pilates instructor

Colette, the owner and founder of Rare Body Pilates started her Pilates career in New York City where she trained in Classical, Balanced Body, and Peak style Pilates. Her fascination with Pilates began in 2005 during her years as a hip-hop and step dancer, and with a push from her mom. Colette started the Rare Body brand as a skin care line in 2010. She favored the tagline “Be rare, be you” for the skincare line, however she desired a greater reach for her company. She leaned into her evolving passion for Pilates and started teaching classes in 2013. Colette acquired a space from the studio’s former owner in New York City, a few years later. Sadly, COVID stole all her clients, so she relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2020. A bonus perk for Colette was that her now husband and step daughters already resided in St.Pete. With the help of her family and trusty staff, she’s moved Rare Body Pilates from a quaint. 1,700 sq. ft. studio on MLK to the gorgeous 4,000 sq. ft. location down the street with over 100 regular members and 12-14 classes per day.

  • Studio Manager

Tatiana began her Pilates journey in 2021 after hearing wonderful things about it through friends and on social media. The fitness form piqued her interest, so she enrolled in classes and fell in love. Two years after her introduction to Pilates, she met Colette and the pair clicked instantly. Tatiana became the manager of the studio thanks to her positive attitude and unmatchable work ethic. She greets each client by name and with a sweet smile before checking them in and directing them to their class. Her other responsibilities include answering questions about memberships and packages, marketing, enrolling new students, and social media. When she isn’t at the studio, Tatiana loves creating music, spending time in nature, and, of course, taking Pilates classes.
